Membership & Facilities
A membership to the Nordic Sports Club gives you access to the tennis court and swimming pool, including the adjacent changing rooms and bathrooms.
The other school facilities, in particular the playground and the Nordic House area, are for exclusive use of full (parent) members of the Swedish School Society.
Membership of the Nordic Sports Club depends on availability. There are limited spots available.
Swimming pool
The swimming pool can be used by members before 9:00 and after 16:30 during the weekdays. On weekends, public holidays, and school holidays the pool is open all day.
Tennis court
Members must book the tennis court in advance through the Skedda booking system. Access is given to all active members. Sessions with coaches must be booked by the respective member being coached.
NB: School activities take priority over Sports Club usage and may affect usage times or court bookings.
Use of premises
It is possible for parents of the Nordic School to rent the school’s premises and facilities for smaller or bigger events such as birthday parties. The playground, swimming pool, tennis court and Aula can all be rented. Please contact the administration for availability and prices.
The Nordic House
Adjacent to the school’s premises is The Nordic House. The house has rooms for rent to teachers or other people in need of housing in Dar es Salaam, for longer or short periods of time. Please contact the administration for availability
